Largemouth Bass Fishing At Night by Isaac

In this article you will learn tips about fishing at night and catching largemouth bass. As you might already know, fishing in the sun during the heat of the day can be frustrating. If you are not catching any fish during the day, or are not getting any bites, its a good idea to go into night fishing. Night fishing is best during the warmer summer months when it is over 60 degrees.

During the day you might run into some problems. The bass usually migrate deep into the water and can be more difficult to catch during a hot sunny day.

At night time though, its a different story.

Largemouth bass usually change their position from being deep in the water, to moving up to water that is more shallow. They eat creatures that are nocturnal like crawfish.

When you fish at night keep a close eye on the spots where you make a catch. Usually you can make more catches in the same spots. Here is one good tip to remember regarding a habit of the largemouth bass: They usually stay in the same spots and don’t move around a lot.

If you are fishing in a river or creek look for sections that have more deep water. In the parts of deeper water look for piles of rocks, fallen trees or other debris. You might find largemouth bass hanging out in these particular hot spots.

When you find a hot spot, remember it.

When it comes to lake fishing here are some things to remember. The largemouth bass behavior is almost the same as in other water locations. During the summer at night, they usually swim to water that is more shallow.

However, when it starts to get more cold during the late part of the summer, their behavior changes.

During the late part of the summer, it may be more difficult to find the bass in the shallower water.

The bass will migrate towards the middle of the lake to sections of more deep water. So if your fishing during the latter part of the summer, it is best to go to more deep water when fishing at night.

Quick tip: If you see a boat dock that is lighted at night, you might discover this to be a hot spot to find largemouth bass.

If you’re going to fish at night you might want to consider using flourescent lining. Using this line, it can easily be seen using a black light. With these two tools, its easy to spot the fish biting. Use these tips the next time you go fishing for largemouth bass, and you might hit gold.
