Fishing Holidays – Devon Tale

Filed under: Technology, Vacations, Water Safety, fishing — Tags: — admin @ 5:48 am

By Simon B Rogers

As the end of the day approached and the sun thought about making its lazy way to bed. The birds were idly stretching out their feathers and lounging about, singing their last few twitters of the day. Even the insects were tiring of their incessant buzzing, buzzing that turned to buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. The sun arced across the holiday cottages and fishing became the most important task of the day.

Canoes Of Then And Now

by Victor Epand

I am forced to wonder about the sometimes ignominious position of the canoe in our society. I think it must be related to two issues. One, for man people, the canoe is associated with summer camp, which is a rather ridiculous situation in and of itself, at least from an adult perspective. And two, thanks to “America’s Funnies Home Videos,” we have probably seen more people fall out of canoes than out of any other type of boat. Yes, the general view of canoes, at least in my estimation, is that they are rather clumsy boats, difficult to manage and easy to tip over. However, to those who actually know how to pilot them, canoes are a source of great enjoyment and pride.

White Water Rafting – Everything you ever need to know

The Technology Of The Waveboard

by Derek C

The waveboard as a very unique a different design then most boards on the market. The board only has two wheels, which are free to rotate an entire 360 degrees, located under two separate decks that are connected by a spring loaded torsion bar. The decks are able to twist opposite of each other. It is this technology that allows the wave board to be propelled without your feet ever needing to touch the ground. The wheels are sized at 77mm and 85A, and the bearings are ABEC5. Waveboard wheels are designed to take the wear and tear of continual use. Your feet never have to touch the ground when riding and because of this any wheels would wear down much faster. The waveboard wheels keep you riding longer before you need to change them. The 360 degree rotating wheels connect to the decks which are made out of high quality and very strong ABS plastic. ABS plastic was used because of the strength it has. The board can take a lot of wear and tear before it will ever break. The one draw back is that the board is slightly heavier then most boards, although weight is not going to matter when you are cruising down the street with the waveboard under your feet.

Playing Soccer At The Beach by John Salmon

Filed under: Beach and Pool Toys, Beach life, Sports, Technology — Tags: , , , — admin @ 12:02 pm

One of my friends asked me recently why all men are crazy about playing football or what is known as the USA soccer. I am sick of explaining things that you can not understand based on personal experience. But although I was able to provide an answer light, she returned to specify yet another question. Is it different from playing soccer on the grass than playing on the beach? It was a good one.

Does The Internet Benefit Small Travel Businesses?

By: Anthony Francis
Yes, of course it does, but as much as it should?

When you think of the number of travel directories and websites available to travelers you would think that this is a world free of the normal conventions of business but unfortunately it is often bound by restrictions that travelers would not appreciate. Pricing of travel is one of the conventions that are not yet totally free of restrictions and understandably so due to distribution considerations.

Travel businesses using the traditional distribution chains for the sale of their products need to allow for the payments of commission to various levels of middlemen, Inbound Tour Operators, Wholesalers and Retailers, all who need to take a percentage for their efforts in enabling travel services and products to reach the consumer.
